The PDP aspirant criticised Oshiomhole for deriding the Esan people by describing their university as Abanayan when he compared AAU to Iyamho.
He said AAU is a great university having produced international icons like Tony Elumelu and Chris Oyakhilome. He said it was a shame that Adams Oshiomhole totally abandoned AAU.
Speaking further, he pledged to put Emaudo campus to more purposeful use including using the facility as training centre for the proposed vocational training in manpower development in Edo state.
Comparing the administrations of Igbinedion and Oshiomhole, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu stated that a total of about 196 billion naira was received in the 8 years of the Igbinedion administration but that so far in 7 years 1.6 trillion naira has been received Oshiomhole lamenting that Oshiomhole wasted what he termed as the seven years of plenty.
The members of the association took turns to praise the presentation of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and pledged their support for his aspiration because, according to most of them, he is the most competent, disciplined and prepared of all the aspirants in all the parties and also because of his pledge to end the marginalization of Esanland. They however requested that he should involve them in seeking advice regarding the choice of a quality deputy.
