Obaseki’s probe of Oshiomhole’s regime; APC woman leader imprisoned
A High Court of Edo State has remanded in prison custody the APC Woman Leader for Edo State, Dr Aisosa Amadasun and four others over allegation of fraud.
The APC State Woman leader and her fellow inmates were remanded for diverting public funds meant for the Universal Basic Education approved for Edo State by former President Goodluck Jonathan between 2013 and 2016.
The funds were the source of the “Red Roof” that the Adams Oshiomhole stole the credit for and made Edo State residents to oppose the PDP for.
President Jonathan, following the constitution, had intended the money to develop schools infrastrutre and give free education including free books to students in basic school in Edo State.
But the funds were stolen under the watch of former governor Adams Oshiomhole, whose role in the scam that also led to the sack of a Permanent Secretary, is still being investigated.
Between 2013 & 2016 monies meant for SUBEB projects in Edo state were diverted by the imprisoned APC woman leader and her cronies as Members of the UBEC Board.
