Atiku: Five governors and 32 legislators set to dump APC
The resignation of former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has left a mortal crack on the wall of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as reliable information available to Urhokpota Reporters indicate that baring any last minute political moves by the ruling party, at least five serving APC governors and 32 serving members of the national assembly, majority of them senators, will tender their resignation within 90 days.
According to our impeccable source within the APC who pleaded anonymity, three of the five governors are in the north and two are in the south.
Our source disclosed that the party hierarchy have started to mount intense pressure in the presidency to take conciliatory measures against aggrieved party leaders before it is too late but the presidency allegedly has been calling their bluff.
“This is why Tinubu and other APC leaders have been making statements that Buhari may not get an automatic ticket” our sources said.
Vice President Atiku, in his resignation letter today, cited the published grievances of Kaduna state governor, as pointer to the fact that all is not well with the party.
Our source did not categorically include Kaduna state governor as one of the three northern governors to dump the ruling party but many pundits suspect that it is a probability.
Meanwhile Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is dumping the APC because the party was fake and he was deceived into joining the party. He accused the APC of not having a single youth in the cabinet.
Atiku has however not declared for any party but political watchers predict that he would be joining the PDP very soon or oiling the ADP.
