Obasanjo was a coward, he is irrelevant – Idahosa
Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) Edo State and Former Special Adviser on Political Matters to former Edo state governor, Hon Charles Idahosa, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a “coward” who wants to rule Nigeria indirectly.
Idahosa made the remark while faulting Obasanjo’s recent statement, cautioning President Muhammadu Buhari against seeking reelection in 2019.
Speaking with journalists, Idahosa stated that he thinks Obasanjo would be irrelevant if Nigerians were enlightened.
“Obasanjo is so irrelevant in this country and I find it irritating when I see him parading himself as a kingmaker, who years after leaving office still wants to decide for Nigerians who governs them.” Idahosa said.
“Obasanjo was a military of Head of State for four years. He was a coward. He was afraid of becoming Head of State after Murtala Mohammed’s assassination…
“I think Obasanjo, through his coalition, is only looking for another third term. The man wants to continue ruling Nigeria indirectly and I believe the coalition is dead on arrival. No serious-minded Nigerian will take Obasanjo serious.” Idahosa stated.
