Nigerians demand the resignation of INEC over inconclusive elections

Nigerians have started to agitate for the immediate resignation of the INEC Chairman, Prof. Yakubu, stressing that he has destroyed the legacy of Prof. Attahiru Jega, which led to the Independent body getting many accolades in last years Presidential election.

Nigerians are also demanding for results of the parliamentary rerun election in Rivers State to be released forthwith. The obviousIy aggrieved Nigerians, mostly youths, have taken their agitation to Twitter, to ask The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to release the remaining results for the March 19 election which is widely believed to be won by the PDP.

11 House of Representatives, 13 House of Assembly and 3 Senatorial seats are yet to be announced by the Independent body.

As at the time of filling in this report, there is palpable tension in the land as Nigerians take to social media to express their grieviances in the trending hashtag  #INECReleaseRiversResult.
