Ize-Iyamu, the man with a global appeal
By Osaze Ehigiator
The oncoming gubernatorial contest in Edo State is making political debate active, interesting and recently elevated to a higher platform. Political tone is elevated because people are coming to the realization of what is really at stake. The question of which road to Rome stares at everyone in the face as well meaning sons and daughters contribute their quotas of who they see as an ideal candidate and why they think so. Gabriel Enogholase and a few others recently wrote about an all inclusive well manner candidate that stands above the rest in general acceptability, ability to make friends, and work with people across the board at both lateral and vertical platforms. That makes him a good fit for local utilization of resources and manpower. There is also a need for a man who is disciplined, confident and competent with Emotional and moral intelligence to make the State also compete at international levels. Does the same man qualify? This is what I intend to address and the main purpose of this write up.
Research carried out by the Carnegie Institute of Technology shows that 85 percent of your financial success is due to skills in “human engineering,” your personality and ability to communicate, negotiate, and lead. Shockingly, only 15 percent is due to technical knowledge. Additionally, Nobel Prize winning Israeli-American psychologist, Daniel Kahneman, found that people would rather do business with a person they like and trust even if the likeable person is offering a lower quality product or service at a higher price.
With this in mind, EQ (Emotional Intelligence), MQ (Moral Intelligence), and BQ (Body Intelligence) is very significance in business and personal relationships. Why is this so important in Edo local politics? Please give me a minute to explain. In 2015 Diaspora remittance to Nigeria was $21 billion. India was $69Billion, China $64billions and Philippines steadily on the increase at $28billion. A lot of services jobs like phone answering for mega companies and light manufactory jobs are going to India, China and even Philippines at ever increasing rate, even though Nigerians speak better and clearer English, with large population of highly educated and cheap unemployed workforce. The only missing link is a candidate with universal acceptance as our representative.
Most people think that you are like the person negotiating or speaking on your behalf. So it make perfect sense and good business practice to elect the best you have in this areas for proper leveraging and general acceptance in the universal global village. I can state categorically that those who are putting hopes on a single local business monopoly to change Edo State are asking for chains instead of true change. What has such friendship with the present governor benefited you or anyone else from his state? Now we also have a president who travels at the country’s expense to say “You are all criminals” Why should the rest of the World believe otherwise? But we now have one candidate that commands universal respect, and able to go out and say “The people from my state are not like the rest because I represent them, and they are very much like me”. A man with superior EQ (Emotional Intelligence), MQ (Moral Intelligence), and BQ (Body Intelligence) which are very significant in universal political and business arena.
Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu is the only known trusted face to MAJORITY of Diaspora community in Europe and the North America. People than can make something happen in Edo state in terms of capita flow, job creations and other developments. Local resources alone are no more adequate. It’s time to think smart like the rest of the World. (Check out World Bank’s annual remittance to Nigerian 2015) I support the earlier political contributors that Pastor Ize-Iyama is the way to go.
The bible says “In the multitude of counselors there is wisdom” Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is equal to electability and reliability of authenticity both at home and away. He’s what I call a trusted face, an ideal candidate and a true universal soldier.
